The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday obtained a 14-day physical reamnd of a suspect accused of possessing explosives to carry out a saboteur act. A CTD team arrested Abdul Rehman, a resident of tribal areas, with 625 grams of explosives and three detonators from the Choa Saidan Shah area in Chakwal on January 3. Anti-Terrorism Court-II Special Judge Asif Majeed Awan handed over the suspect to the CTD on physical remand after the investigation officer told the court that he was planning to carry out a terror act before his design was frustrated. The investigation officer told the court that further physical remand of the suspect was required to get to his accomplices and collaborators.
