Tax Policy: Traders association appreciates scheme
Naeem Mir said with the scheme as many as 3.5 million traders across the country would benefit and enter the system
ISLAMABAD:
All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran on Saturday lashed out at the opposition political parties for opposing the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme announced by the government for the benefit of traders. Addressing a press conference here, All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran Secretary General Naeem Mir said that the taxation system of the country was so outdated and complex that the traders failed to enter the system. “Now the government has changed the team of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in a bid to correct the system and the traders are willing to enter into the tax net due to positive policies of the government”, Naeem added. He requested the opposition parties not to involve the traders in their politics and should favour the government’s positive decisions. He said with the scheme as many as 3.5 million traders across the country would benefit and enter the system.
