Negligence: Notice issued to cops in murder case
Show-cause notices issued to policemen for refusing to register an FIR of a kidnap case.
ISLAMABAD:
Show-cause notices were issued to policemen of Sabzi Mandi Police Station for refusing to register an FIR on the kidnapping of a young resident of Pir Wadhai.
According to details, Akbar Hussain contacted Sabzi Mandi Police for lodging an FIR against the kidnapping of his son Abrar.
The young man was abducted by unknown men on December 6. Police refused to register the case, saying the area was out their jurisdiction.
Later, his body was found from Dhok Kashmirian police area, which also registered a case and arrested two persons Tariq and Faisal in connection with the kidnap and murder. Investigation is underway.
However, SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan issued the show-cause notices to policemen of Sabzi Mandi police station for not helping the complainant. Further action against them can be taken in case it is discovered that they actually rejected the complainant of their own area. APP
