ISLAMABAD:
An official of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) was killed in the line of duty during an encounter with drug traffickers. The ANF Faisalabad team had signaled a vehicle to stop, but it fled. The team chased the vehicle and intercepted it, but two persons left the vehicle and hid in a nearby sugarcane field. During the course of chase, the drug traffickers opened indiscriminate fire on ANF team, resulting in the death of ANF Constable Muzaffar Iqbal.
