Nawaz urges Maleeha to promote Pakistan’s soft image

ISLAMABAD:
Dr Maleeha Lodhi, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations (UN) called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House on Friday morning. In a separate meeting, PM Nawaz also met with Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of Air Staff.

Dr Maleeha Lodhi briefed the PM on the endeavours of the Pakistan Mission to UN for protecting and promoting Pakistan’s interests. The Permanent Representative also informed the PM that the international community supports Pakistan’s successful counter-terrorism efforts.

“We should effectively utilize our presence in the UN to project a positive and soft image of Pakistan as a progressive democratic state, committed to the well-being and prosperity of its people, and to regional and international peace and security,” the Prime Minister emphasized.


Air Chief meeting

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman the Chief of Air Staff apprised the PM regarding various professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Air Force. PM Nawaz appreciated the effective role of Pakistan Air Force in the military’s successful Zarb-e –Azb operation.
