He said he had cried for help when the men were forcibly making him sit in their car. He said they had told onlookers that he was an absconding suspect who had been nabbed. Asif said the policemen had kept him incarcerated at a private cell for several days. He said they had beaten him up and kept him deprived of food and water. Asif said they had released him on payment of Rs400,000. He said he was unable to comprehend why he had been abducted by them and asked to pay the ransom.
