The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chaired by its Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry on Friday. The meeting reviewed the overall performance of the bureau and progress on its awareness and prevention campaign during 2015, a spokesperson for the bureau told The Express Tribune.

The NAB chairman expressed satisfaction over the overall progress. “NAB strongly believes in zero tolerance policy towards eliminating corruption,” he was quoted as saying in a press release.

He underscored that the bureau help create awareness among the people about the effects of the menace and how to prevent it. He said NAB’s law was enforced cross the board last year which will continue in 2016.

The NAB chairman, however, urged all stakeholders including media, civil society and people to join hands with NAB in its fight against corruption.

The meeting was briefed over the bureau engaging with a number of different public and private organisations and civil society for its campaign against corruption.

The bureau has proposed that the Motorway Police distribute pamphlets carrying the anti-corruption message among the travellers on all motorways across the country.

Similarly, the Capital Development Authority has also been asked to display billboards carrying the message on the main tourist spots of Islamabad.
