Youhanabad Lynching: Suspect’s bail plea dismissed
A Deputy prosecutor general, told the court that the suspect had failed to appear before the court in person

The Lahore High Court, on Thursday, dismissed the pre-arrest bail application of a man identified in the FIR registered over the lynching of two men in a riot following twin suicide blasts at two churches in Youhanabad last year. Khurram Khan, a deputy prosecutor general, told the court that the suspect had failed to appear before the court in person. He said that bail applications of suspects could not be entertained unless they appeared before the court in person. In his application requesting pre-arrest bail, Haroon Rasheed had stated that he had been wrongly implicated in the case based on some media reports and the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera footage.
