Unlicenced Weapon: Arrests warrants issued for Kanju

Judicial Magistrate Akram Azad also directed the police to present Kanju before the court

LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Thursday issued arrest warrants for former state minister Siddique Kanju’s son Mustafa Kanju, who is under trial for killing a passer-by and injuring another in a road accident, for possession of an unlicensed Kalashnikov. Judicial Magistrate Akram Azad also directed the police to present Kanju before the court.  Earlier, an investigation officer said that an FIR had been registered with the North Cantonment police station against Kanju for possession of an unlicensed Kalashnikov. He said the weapon had been used to kill the passer-by, Zain, and injuring another.
