AIPS-ASIA: Pakistani journalist to contest election

PESHAWAR: Sports journalists and resident editor of Daily Express at Peshawar, Amjad Aziz Malik, will contest the election for the general secretary of Asian Sports Writers Association to be held in February 2016. AIPS-Asia represents 42 member countries and election for its supreme body is held after four years. The next elections to be held in Doha, will see for the first time a Pakistani journalist contesting for the main executive seat. Malik started his career from the cricket magazine Akhbar Wattan in 1982. He joined Daily Express, Peshawar as resident editor in 2013 and is still working with the newspaper. He was the first sports journalist from K-P who wrote eight books on sports.
