Kidnapped: Doctor arrested for killing colleague

According to the handout, Ali was produced before the court where he admitted to committing the crime

PESHAWAR: A man was arrested by the counter-terrorism department (CTD) on Wednesday over his alleged involvement in murder and kidnapping for ransom cases. According to a handout issued by the department, Dr Ahmad Ali, a resident of Dir, kidnapped Dr Sulaiman Shahzad from Danishabad and demanded Rs10 million as ransom for his release. Ali killed Shahzad after the latter’s family failed to provide the ransom money. His body was dumped in a deserted place in Risalpur, Nowshera. According to the handout, Ali was produced before the court where he admitted to committing the crime.
