Speeding truck: Man killed, two injured in accident
The truck driver left his vehicle and fled the scene before the police reached the accident site
KARACHI:
A man lost his life, while two others were critically wounded when a truck carrying wheat crashed into their car on the National Highway, within the limits of the Steel Town police station on Wednesday. Several ambulances shifted the passengers to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Afzal Khushi, 30, died on the spot, while his brothers, Aslam and Boota Khan, were wounded. Police said that the speeding truck was entering the city from Thatta when it hit the car, causing the wheat bags to fall on top of the car. The truck driver left his vehicle and fled the scene before the police reached the accident site. The deceased was a resident of the Green Town locality of Shah Faisal Colony. A case has been registered while further investigation is underway.
