Aditi not shirking away from challenges

‘Rockstar’ actor feels her potential as an artist yet to be fully met

Having been part of the Indian film industry’s art house and mainstream scene for over 5 years, actor Aditi Rao Hydari believes her full potential is yet to be utilised, reports Bollywood.com.

“There is so much more to do and I am told by many people that I am under-utilised and I have so much more potential,” remarks Aditi, who would soon be appearing in Wazir alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.

“I don’t look at it as something to be sad about. I think of it as a very positive thing because if people think I have more potential then I think I have a long way to go and more challenges to take up.”

Aditi who came in to the spotlight with her performance in the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film, Delhi 6, says that contrary to popular belief things have never been easy for her and she has had to struggle to reach the point where she is today.

Following her appearance in Delhi 6, Aditi went onto act in notable movies like Rockstar, Yeh Saali Zindagi, Boss and Murder 3 and share screen space with popular actors such as Amitabh, Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor.

“The bottom line is that I have not had the privilege of snapping my fingers and saying, ‘I want to work with you, you and you’, but I have been lucky that good films were offered to me and I have had the chance to work on some really amazing roles.”

Even though she acknowledges that the road ahead is not an easy one, Aditi finds solace in the fact that he career trajectory is moving upwards now. “It’s been tough. Every day is an uphill struggle but I like to look at the positive side. I think if I am going uphill then I am taking a step up. That is what is important for me,” she concludes.
