Hart-ache for City in FA Cup draw

Hart committed appalling error to present Andy King with simplest of equalisers in 64th minute.

LEICESTER:
Manchester City keeper Joe Hart’s dreadful mistake provided Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson with another chance to teach old pupil Roberto Mancini after a 2-2 FA Cup draw.

England international Hart committed an appalling error to present Andy King with the simplest of equalisers in the 64th minute to ensure Eriksson, the former England manager, will return to his former club a week tomorrow. James Milner and Carlos Tevez scored a goal each after a 44-second opener from Leicester’s Sol Bamba.

“Has he [Hart] said sorry? Yes, but his save in the first half and in other games were good,” said City manager Mancini.

“This can happen, it was unlucky.” But the manager was critical, however, of a City side bidding to win the FA Cup for the first time since 1969.

“It was important because now we understand that if we want to win the FA Cup we have to play at 100 per cent. Every game is different.”

Babel facing rap after

Liverpool forward Ryan Babel is set to face disciplinary action after posting a mocked-up photo of referee Howard Webb in a Manchester United shirt.

The picture appeared on the Dutch forward’s official page on Twitter hours after United beat Liverpool 1-0 in the third round of the FA Cup — a match refereed by Webb, who was in charge of last year’s World Cup final.
