Minister unhappy with lack of progress

IT Director Salim Zubair told the minister the HMIS had been integrated with the main website

LAHORE:

Labour and Human Resource Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar on Monday expressed unhappiness with “lethargic attitude” of the Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital’s (NSSSH) administration, particularly its IT Department that has failed to make the hospital’s Health Management Information System (HMIS) operational in five years.

The minister was given a briefing at the NSSSH, Multan Road.

The minister ordered the medical superintendent and the IT director to computerise record of all workers and their family members by February 15. He said they should all be issued digital health cards.

IT Director Salim Zubair told the minister the HMIS had been integrated with the main website. He said interfacing of CT Scan machines and pathology machines had been completed. He said workers’ registration, bio-metric attendance, pay role management and IP-based CCTV surveillance were functional.
