Murder: ‘Missing’ man found buried in the yard
The spokesperson said the woman had been taken into custody
FAISALABAD:
Police have unearthed the body of a man who had been missing in a Jaranwala police precinct since Friday. Police said initial interrogations had revealed that his wife had murdered him and had later buried the body in the courtyard. A police spokesperson said Muhammad Amin had been reported missing since Friday. He said the police had been investigating the disappearance and had interrogated neighbours and relatives. During the interrogation, the man’s wife admitted to having murdered Amin. She said she had later buried the body in the courtyard. Police then exhumed the body and took it to a mortuary for post-mortem examination. The spokesperson said the woman had been taken into custody. A neighbour alleged that Amin had caught his wife meeting her paramour several times and had asked her to back off. “It now appears that she murdered him and then staged a drama saying he had gone missing.”
