Unfair policy: HCCI demands reduction in petrol price

HCCI representatives said that the reduced rates would provide an impetus to economic growth

HYDERABAD:
The Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) has demanded a reduction in the price of petroleum products by approximately Rs20 per litre, supporting a similar demand by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In a press statement on Sunday, the HCCI noted that the price of crude oil has decreased to $37 per barrel in the international market but the government of Pakistan is not letting the trade and other sectors of the economy benefit from the reduced rates. HCCI representatives said that the reduced rates would provide an impetus to economic growth.
