Senate chairperson Raza Rabbani said that unless the mindset of the Indian establishment and the Modi government is changed, talks between the two countries will not succeed.

He was talking to media persons in Garhi Khuda Bux on Friday where he arrived along with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and home minister Sohail Siyal. If the Rangers' matter is placed before the Senate, Rabbani promised to give a ruling according to the law.

He said that the battle against terrorism will continue until it is eliminated from the country. He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party has roots among the public at grassroots level and is the party of the poor. He said that slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life but did not compromise on principles.

Rabbani said that had Benazir been alive today, the situation would have been totally different. He said that the position of speaker and senate chairperson is different.
