The girl died on Wednesday when her family was unable to enter Civil Hospital due to security measures in place for Bilawal’s arrival at the healthcare facility, drawing stern criticism and a public outrage against PPP and VIP protocol.

Bisma, a resident of Gabol Park in Lyari, was suffering from measles and had a high fever when her father, Faisal, brought her to the hospital. He arrived at the trauma centre entrance, which was manned by security officials for the arrival of Bilawal, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and others.

Doctors later informed Faisal that Bisma's life could have been saved if she was brought in on time.
