Public Complaints: Social media page fails to get attention
He maintained that the page was helpful in addressing grievances of the residents of the capital
ISLAMABAD:
Use of social media may very well be a good idea to start off with when the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mushtaq Ahmad decided to set up his official Facebook page last year, but due to limited public awareness and promotion, the page has failed to gather any serious attention from the residents of the city. The DC on the other hand has a different view. Ahmad, while talking to The Express Tribune on Thursday claimed that over 1,500 public complaints were posted since he launched his page on August 11, 2014. He maintained that the page was helpful in addressing grievances of the residents of the capital. “I have received overwhelming response from the public, which are being addressed,” Ahmad claimed.
