Four of a family die in accident near Abbottabad

Driver lost control of the car on snow-covered Abbottabad-Murree road before it fell into a ravine

ABBOTTABAD: A car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Galiyat area near Abbottabad on Thursday evening, killing four members of a family while injuring a girl.

According to DSP Arif Javed Khan, the family was on their way to Nathiagali from Murree when the head of the family, Wajid Khan, lost control over car on snow-clad Abbottabad-Murree Road near Darwaza Kass turning of Donga Gali.



As a result, the car skidded off the road and fell into a deep ravine, he added.

Confirming the casualties, the DSP said locals and police recovered the two-year-old girl and bodies of the deceased.
