IHC strength: Three judges take oath
It is the first time that an Islamabad-based lawyer, Kayani, has taken oath as a judge
ISLAMABAD:
Justice Aamer Farooq took oath as permanent judge, while Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Mian Gul Hassan as additional judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday increasing the court’s strength to seven.
Hassan has worked with late Abdul Hafeez Pirzada. He has represented Pakistan in the $573 million claim against the country before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.

IHC Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi administered the oath to Justice Farooq, Justice Kayani and Justice Hassan at a ceremony held on the court premises.
It is the first time that an Islamabad-based lawyer, Kayani, has taken oath as a judge. Kayani served as the head of the IHC Bar Association till last year.
Hassan has worked with late Abdul Hafeez Pirzada. He has represented Pakistan in the $573 million claim against the country before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
