Man blackens youth’s face, injures his sister

Landlord Wali Muhammad wanted to buy land from nearby area resident, 22-year-old Abdul Hafiz.

KHANEWAL:
An influential landlord painted the face of a disabled youth black and tortured him on Sunday. The man later opened fire on the youth’s sister and injured her.

Landlord Wali Muhammad wanted to buy land from nearby area 5715-L resident 22-year-old Abdul Hafiz. When the youth refused the sale, the landlord painted his face black and also shot his sister Nasreen. Later the landlord’s accomplices threw Hafiz’s belongings out of his house. Chub Klan police did not show up at the spot, despite neighbours having called in to complain about the incident. Rescue officials took Nasreen to the DHQ hospital where she was declared to be out of danger by medical officials. The affected family demanded that the chief minister take immediate action against Wali Muhammad and his accomplices and provide them with justice. “He just broke into my house and started abusing me and shot my sister. I have the right to refuse to sell my land and he should be in jail,” said Hafiz, adding “the police didn’t even bother to show up so I know they won’t help me.”
