Six suspected militants were also killed during the operation

Two Frontier Corps personnel were killed on Wednesday during a search operation in Balnagoor area of Balochistan’s Turbat city. Six suspected militants were also killed during the operation.
The security forces were conducting a search operation in the area when militants exchanged heavy fire with the personnel resulting in the deaths of two FC personnel, Balochistan IGFC Major General Sher Afgun told The Express Tribune.
However, the IGFC said the search operation will continue till the arrest of the last terrorist.

Earlier this month, the FC arrested 13 suspects, including three foreigners, and seized arms and anti-Pakistan propaganda material during a raid in Gomazi area of Turbat. “Acting on a tip-off, FC launched a search operation in Turbat and arrested 13 suspects, including foreigners in Gomazi,” FC spokesperson said and added the suspects were believed to be involved in terrorist activities in Turbat and its adjoining areas.
During the raid, the FC troops found some small arms including pistols and sub-machineguns along with a mortar shell and printed hate speeches against the state. The arrested persons had been shifted to un-disclosed location for further interrogation.
Militant commander killed in Kalat
Meanwhile, a commander of banned militant outfit, Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), was killed during a shootout with security forces in Bencha Sorab area of Kalat division.
Further, FC claimed to have recovered automatic weapons from the possession of the BLF commander, who was wanted in several cases related to terrorism, kidnapping for ransom and extortion.

Last month, at least six militants belonging to a banned outfit had been killed as they engaged in an exchange of fire with FC in Johan area of Kalat. According to FC spokesperson, automatic weapons were recovered from the possession of the militants.
Earlier on October 26, 10 suspected militants including five of their facilitators were arrested in three separate search operations in Harnai, Dera Bugti, Kalat and Kohlu areas of the province.
