CJCSC appreciates armed forces' efforts in Zarb-e-Azb

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood has appreciated the efforts of the armed forces for securing the confidence of people by successfully fighting terrorism.
According to the ISPR, a JCSC meeting was held at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi on Tuesday to review the progress of the ongoing military offensive in the tribal belt Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
General Mahmood presided meeting, which was also attended by chief of army staff and other senior military officers.
Operation Zarb-e-Azb: 38% displaced Fata tribesmen repatriated
According to the statement, the leadership expressed satisfaction over the promptness and effectiveness with which the armed forces have undertaken both internal and external challenges.
It resolved to continue the operations to eliminate terrorism and help government fight extremism.
The forum also reaffirmed the resolution to respond to the entire spectrum of extremist threat with a comprehensive security strategy.
