Tragic: Woman, two kids killed by van

The accident took place on Peshawar Road on Sunday night

RAWALPINDI: A woman and  her two children were killed  by a speeding van on Sunday.

Two-year old Alisha Sajid succumbed to her injuries and died on Monday after she, along with her mother and elder sister were hit by a passenger van near Qasim Market on Peshawar Road on Sunday night.

Alisha’s four-year old sister, Laraib, and their six-month-old cousin Musa Fareed died in the incident.

According to the police, Nafeesa, along with her sister-in-law Rozina and their children were crossing the Peshawar Road when the were hit by the van.

SHO Naseerabad Police Chaudhry Ilyas said that the police had seized the vehicle and were looking for the driver.

Meanwhile, a eunuch died when a gas cylinder in his exploded in Mohallah Raja Sultan.

According to Banni Police, 50-year-old Irshad alias Ashi, was shifted to the Holy Family Hospital by Rescue 1122 officials, but could not be revived at the hospital.
