Police operation: Kidnapped man recovered
Rahim Yar Khan DPO said that the kidnappers had fled under the cover of darkness

Police on Sunday recovered a man who had been kidnapped for ransom. Rahim Yar Khan DPO Zahid Nawaz Marwat said that police had freed Muhammad Rafique, a resident of Chak-44NP, after an exchange of gunfire with the kidnappers. “Rafique had been kidnapped by four gunmen from his home on December 5. The kidnappers had demanded Rs5 million for his release,” Marwat said. He said that Kot Sabzal police had launched a search operation to locate the kidnappers. “On Friday midnight, a police party stormed the hideout of the kidnappers located in Kacha Machka area. Rafique was safely recovered,” he said. Marwat said that the kidnappers had fled under the cover of darkness. He said that the kidnappers belonged to the Haseena Kosh gang.
