Money matters ‘Govt departments should pay WASA dues’
The director said Rs2.7 million was due from Sports Complex and Rs800,000 from FESCO

“Several government departments count among the chronic defaulters,” said Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz on Sunday.
He said police, education and irrigation departments, the Sports Complex and the FESCO had not paid up their dues. He said the Police Department owed Rs10 million. He said the Education Department had not paid Rs9 million and the Irrigation Department owed Rs6.7 million. The director said Rs2.7 million was due from Sports Complex and Rs800,000 from FESCO.

Talking to The Tribune, he said the agency had launched a crackdown on defaulters who had failed to deposit WASA dues despite several notices.
He said police, education and irrigation departments, the Sports Complex and the FESCO had not paid up their dues. He said the Police Department owed Rs10 million.
