
Students were awarded shields and trophies during a prize distribution ceremony at University Public School (UPS) in the city on Saturday.
The school administration also expressed solidarity with Army Public School victims and offered prayers for all students and staff members who lost their lives.
UPS Peshawar Principal Hafiz Farooq Ali handed out prizes and certificates among winners and runners up of various games held during sports week.
Addressing the participants, parents and staff members on the occasion, Ali said everyone was united against terrorism in the country and terrorists could no longer hinder the process of education.
“All security arrangements have been taken care of at UPS Peshawar and teachers can concentrate on doing their job without any fear,” the principal added. University of Peshawar Institute of Education and Research (IER) Professor Shafqat Perveen was the chief guest at the event.
