Busted: AVCC arrest proclaimed offender

AVCC official said that he was wanted to the police in various cases of kidnapping in Karachi and rural Sindh

KARACHI: The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) claim to have apprehended a proclaimed offender allegedly involved in various cases of kidnapping. The accused was arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off in Clifton. He was identified as Saadat Khan. AVCC official Hashim Billo said that he was wanted to the police in various cases of kidnapping in Karachi and rural Sindh, adding that he had recently kidnapped two children from Docks area of Karachi and later released them after getting ransom from their families. Several cases are already registered against him. Further investigations are underway.
