Law and Order: Robbers take away Rs8m in bank heist
Police said they had registered a case and set up pickets at city exits

Eight robbers took away Rs8 million from a bank on Friday. Qutabpur SHO Haji Shafi told newsmen that the men had forced their way into Dubai Islamic Bank at Chowk Shah Abbas. They beat up three security guards and took away their weapons. They also held up bank staff and clients. The men broke CCTV cameras, beat Assistant Manager Shahid Ali and fled with Rs8 million. Witnesses said they drove away in a white car. They told police that the men wore trousers and shirts and spoke in Urdu. They said they appeared between 30 and 35 years old. The SHO said the number plate of the car they had fled was registered in the name of a woman living in Lahore. Police said they had registered a case and set up pickets at city exits.
