Poliovirus: ‘Workers should focus on Khyber Agency’
Polio workers should especially focus their efforts in Landikotal and Bara

Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Chairman Dr Jean Marc Olive has urged polio workers to concentrate on eradicating the crippling virus from Khyber Agency. According to a press release issued on Friday, Olive shared these views during a meeting with Emergency Operation Center (EOC) Fata Coordinator Shakeel Qadir Khan on Friday. “Polio workers should especially focus their efforts in Landikotal and Bara as a large number of cases have surfaced from these areas,” the document quoted him as saying. Meanwhile, in Peshawar, Deputy Commissioner Riaz Mehsud put Shagai councillor Saleem Khan behind bars under 3MPO for hindering polio workers and not letting them inoculate children.
