Recreation rooms for policemen

Recreation rooms for police personnel were inaugurated by IGP Syed Kaleem Imam at the Police Lines Headquarters on Friday.
Facilities include exercising equipment, a library, internet, a snooker table and board games. “Police officials can use these facilities after performing their duties,” the IGP said. Imam also visited the women’s hostel to inaugurate a recreation room and a walking track built exclusively for the female staff. Later, Imam checked the housing arrangements for female officials. “To improve the performance of policemen, we need to provide them with a better environment and [more] facilities,” he said.
“We need well-trained personnel. Those who can improve its working and take it forward,” he added. DIG Headquarters Kamal Uddin Tipu, SSP Headquarters Mohammed Zubair Hashmi and SSP Traffic Mir Niaz were also present on the occasion.
