Less water supply from tube wells
ISLAMABAD:
Loadshedding is affecting water supply from tube wells. Less water is being supplied to residents of the capital due to power outages, CDA spokesperson Ramzan Sajid told The Express Tribune.
The G, H and I sectors are supplied water through tube wells, he said. He claimed that the matter was brought to the Islamabad Electric Supply Company’s (Iesco) notice and a separate grid station was demanded for the tube wells. “The grid station is likely to be set up in March but there appears to be no progress in this regard as yet,” he said. “Four CDA tube wells that were out of order are now being repaired,” he added. Steps are being taken to supply water to citizens on a priority basis, the official said.
