Fpcci elections: TDAP chief issued contempt notice
The court had barred him from influencing elections but he did not comply with court orders

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued a contempt notice to the chief executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), S.M. Muneer.
The case will be taken up after winter vacations.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued a contempt notice to the chief executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), S.M. Muneer.
The court issued the notice to Muneer for violating earlier orders barring him from influencing the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) elections.
A single-bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq issued notice to the TDAP chief executive for interfering in the elections process.
The court had barred him from influencing elections but he did not comply with court orders and attended a dinner arranged by a candidate, and requested voters to vote for a specific group.
FPCCI’s candidate, Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, filed a contempt petition before the IHC and maintained that Muneer violated court orders.
The case will be taken up after winter vacations.
