The people of Balochistan on Wednesday showed solidarity with the martyred students of the Army Public School (APS) on their first anniversary and reiterated resolve to wipe out militancy from Pakistan.

Condolence ceremonies and candle light vigils were held in Quetta, Khuzdar, Mastung, Kalat, Bela, Zhob, Loralai and Killa Saifullah and other parts of the province. Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan conducted numerous ceremonies and paid tributes to the martyrs of APS.

Students, parents, members of civil society and tribal elders condemned the massacre of 135 innocent students besides their teachers and staff members.

“The terrorists cannot halt us from getting education, we will continue our mission by getting better education so we could stem out the scourge of terrorism from our soil,” chanted students at an assembly held in Quetta.
