Urea prices remain high, DAP rates fall
Urea prices in the country have remained at high levels despite a government warning.

Urea prices in the country have remained at high levels despite a government warning that it will take legal action to check the price hike.
Average price for a 50kg bag was Rs1,100. According to a weekly report issued by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, in the first week of this year the price of urea increased by 4.97 per cent and stood at Rs1,083 per bag.
The price of urea in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Hyderabad and Peshawar was Rs1,100, Rs1,047 in Gujranwala, Rs1,050 in Larkana, Sargodha and Lahore, Rs1,000 in Sukkur and Rs1,180 in Quetta.
However, there has been a small decline in the price of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) from Rs3,162.5 to Rs3,151.67 per bag of 50 kg. DAP in Rawalpindi was being sold for Rs3,300, Rs3,100 in Gujranwala, Sukkur, Larkana and Quetta, Rs3,200 in Sargohda, Multan, Bahawalpur and Hyderabad, Rs3,150 in Lahore, Rs3,050 in Faisalabad and Rs3,120 in Peshawar.
Prices of nitro phosphate and powdered SSP phosphate remained unchanged and stood at Rs861 and Rs800 per bag respectively.
