LAHORE: The brutal massacre of 147 students and teachers in the Peshawar Army Public School (APS) has proved to be the most defining moment in our history, Lahore Corps Commander Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali said on Wednesday. He was addressing a ceremony on the first anniversary of APS attack organised by the Lahore Garrison Education System (LGES). “This day reminds us about how both students and teachers faced the carnage with courage, dignity and pride. They left behind a message of sacrifice, resilience and hope for the generations to come,” he said. He said that the sacrifices rendered by the APS students had strengthened the national resolve and determination that we could not be deterred by such cowardly acts of terrorism. Ali said that the entire nation was on one page on the issue.
