Lynching case: Bail pleas of seven suspects dismissed
After hearing both sides, the bench dismissed the petitions filed by the suspects.
LAHORE:
A Lahore High Court division bench on Tuesday dismissed bail petitions of seven suspects held for lynching a Christian couple in Kot Radha Kishan. The counsel for the suspects argued that they were passing by the neighbourhood when the Christian couple was lynched by a mob over blasphemy allegations. He said his clients were wrongly implicated in the case. A deputy prosecutor, however, said that based on the findings of a Joint Investigation Team the suspects were part of the mob that burnt the couple alive. After hearing both sides, the bench dismissed the petitions filed by the suspects.
