Defaulters: Three govt offices lose electricity connections
The District Monitoring Officer had an outstanding bill of Rs0.421 million

The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has disconnected the electricity supply of three government departments for not paying dues amounting to Rs2.848 million. FESCO spokesperson Tahir Sheikh said on Tuesday that the departments were Zila Council, District Monitoring Office and the Lyallpur Town TMA. He said Zila Council had an outstanding bill of Rs0.558 million. The District Monitoring Officer had an outstanding bill of Rs0.421 million and the Lyallpur Town TMA had to pay Rs1.868 million. He said the FESCO had warned the departments several times. Sheikh said the FESCO chief had taken cognisance of the default and had issued orders for the departments’ connections to be removed.
