Jhelum factory burning: 69 suspects file bail pleas
The 69 arrested suspects are in Adiala Jail on judicial remand

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has accepted bail applications of 69 suspects arrested for allegedly rioting and setting fire to a factory in Jhelum. A mob had blocked the Grand Trunk Road and set fire to a chip board factory in Jhelum on November 20 after a factory staffer was accused by another staffer of burning pages of the Holy Quran. Police have so far arrested 69 suspects while non-bailable arrest warrants have also been issued for another 123 suspects. Police are conducting raids to arrest them. The 69 arrested suspects are in Adiala Jail on judicial remand. The court has accepted their bail pleas for hearing and has summoned the Jhelum Saddar Police Station SHO with complete record of the case on December 19.
