CNG sector will be allowed to work in line with the market mechanism,” he added
ISLAMABAD:
International oil and gas companies along with some leading global investors are interested in Pakistan’s gas sector, said All Pakistan CNG Association central leader Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha in a statement. “Oil and gas majors in the US, Russia, China, the UAE and Singapore have realised Pakistan’s interest in gas and have started exploring opportunities for gas import, terminals and pipelines,” he said, adding investor confidence was rising which would help the government to bridge the gas shortfall of 2 billion cubic feet per day. “The government is also framing a policy for gas import by the CNG station operators and prices will stand lower compared to petrol; the CNG sector will be allowed to work in line with the market mechanism,” he added.
