Electricity supply remained suspended in 12 areas of Risalpur on Sunday following a technical fault

RISALPUR: Electricity supply remained suspended for 21 hours in 12 areas of Risalpur on Sunday following a technical fault in an underground cable. An insider familiar with the matter told The Express Tribune, the fault was experienced in an underground cable of 11,000 volts in Bara Banda. “Gulshanabad, Shireenabad, Sultan Garhi, Civil Bazaar, Saddar Bazaar, Gul Bahar Colony, Hassanabad, Gujjar, Bara Banda, Muhammad Khan Korona were among the affected areas,” he said. Residents also complained of water shortage. Power supply was subsequently restored after the fault was rectified.
