Expressing outrage: MWM protests Parachinar blast
The government should do practical work if it wants to eliminate terrorism seriously
KARACHI:
The Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) staged a protest at Numaish Chowrangi on Sunday evening against the Parachinar blast that killed at least 24 people. The protest was held after Maghrib prayers from Shah-e-Khorasan and was attended by a large number of people. MWM leaders, while speaking to the participants of the demonstration, demanded strict action be taken against the Taliban and their allies. They said that this was the third large-scale terrorism incident occurring in the country in the past two months. “The occurance of such incidents raise speculations on the accomplishments made during the operation Zarb-e-Azb,” said the leaders. The government should do practical work if it wants to eliminate terrorism seriously, they asserted. The traffic on the main artery remained suspended for approximately an hour due to the demonstration.
