Moon sighted: Eid Miladun Nabi to be celebrated on Dec 24

The new moon for the month of Rabiul Awwal was sighted on Saturday and Eid Miladun Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) will be celebrated on December 24.
The announcement was made at a meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Karachi headed by Mufti Munibur Rehman. Scholars from all schools of thought as well as astronomical experts were present at the meeting.
The committee received several testimonies of Rabiul Awwal moon being sighted from different parts of the country.

As this religious occasion approaches, different buildings and shrines in the country are decorated with lights.
The government and religious organisations chalk out a number of programmes to highlight the character and merciful acts of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) with great reverence and devotion.
