Over a missed call: Woman axed to death in Abbottabad

According to the official, Manzoor called his wife on Thursday

ABBOTTABAD:
A man allegedly axed his wife to death in Abbottabad on Friday. An official of Sherwan police told The Express Tribune the deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Taj Bibi. “She was married to Manzoor, a resident of Kangar Payen village, and the couple had five children,” he said. “Manzoor had recently returned from Dubai and was spending holidays with his family.” According to the official, Manzoor called his wife on Thursday. “However, she couldn’t respond because she was cooking in the kitchen,” the official said. “This infuriated Manzoor and he attacked Taj Bibi with an axe and killed her.” However, the accused managed to escape after the incident.
