KARACHI: Police official Rao Anwar has again been appointed as the Malir SSP on Friday. He has replaced SSP Dr Najeeb Khan with a transfer notification issued on the same day. “I have [been appointed to] my [previous] position,” told Anwar to The Express Tribune. He was transferred from Malir in May after holding a controversial press conference. Earlier, Anwar was assigned by the Sindh IG to lead an investigation team probing the case of police officials martyred in targeted killings in the city. He was previously appointed Keamari TPO and Gadap TPO before becoming the Malir SSP.
