Divisional Commissioner Captain (r) Naseem Nawaz said 23 roads were being constructed in rural areas of Faisalabad division at an estimated cost of Rs2.05 billion. He said 30 roads in the division had been repaired at a cost of Rs2.364 billion earlier under the Punjab Rural Road Programme. He said Rs992 million was being spent on repairing eight roads in rural areas of Faisalabad district and eight roads in Jhang district were being repaired at a cost of Rs426 million.
Manan added that Rs464 million was being spent on constructing six roads in Toba Tek Singh district and a rural road was being constructed at a cost of Rs177.7 million in Chiniot district.
