Punjab university teachers: KUTS concerned over arrests
Kuts members added that teachers are respected members of society
KARACHI:
The executive committee of the Karachi University Teachers Society (Kuts) expressed concern over the arrests of Punjab University professor Dr Ghalib Ata and former vice-chancellor Dr Khawaja Alqama, on Thursday. They demanded the government carry out investigations before arresting any teachers and termed it a disappointing act, which will have serious repercussions. Kuts members added that teachers are respected members of society and arresting them without any proof will create instability in educational institutes.
