The five MPAs can now participate in assembly sessions.
PESHAWAR:
The Election Commission of Pakistan restored the membership of five Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly members after they submitted their tax statements on Wednesday, stated a press release issued by the commission on Wednesday. ECP had dismissed 37 members of the provincial assembly for not submitting tax statements. However, 32 members submitted tax returns and their memberships were restored earlier. An ECP official said these five members had failed to submit their tax documents, which is why they were restricted from participating in assembly sessions. He said these five members submitted their details and now their membership has been restored. The five MPAs can now participate in assembly sessions.
